I am fascinated by plants and how they work and interact with the world. Their movement in the wind,
the jewel like colors, the intricacies of their structure, and their constant change, continuously draw me to them.
I work from nature.
My work on paper is about how plants work and the incredible intricacies which are rarely observed but give even the most common “weed” a beauty of its own. I try to capture the essence of each plant on the day I observe it.
I want the paintings to teach the viewer how to look and learn to be amazed by what each plant offers.
Accuracy is important to me because through it the unique aspect of each plant can be understood.
